Privacy Policy
Effective date: 22 April 2026
Summary. Engram stores all of your data on your device. We do not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share any personal information. Engram has no servers that receive your data, no user accounts, no analytics, and no advertising.
1. Who we are
Engram is an iPhone application developed by Cdora ("we", "us"). This privacy policy describes how the Engram application handles information.
2. Information we collect
None. Engram does not collect any personal information, device identifiers, usage analytics, crash reports, or diagnostic data. The application does not ask you to register, sign in, or provide any personal information.
3. Information you store in the app
Any text, categories, items, sub-items, notes, interactions, or preferences you enter into Engram are stored locally on your device using the iOS operating system's secure storage facilities. This data:
- Remains on your device;
- Is not transmitted to us or to any third party;
- Is included in your device's standard iCloud or iTunes/Finder backups (if you have those enabled in iOS Settings), subject to Apple's privacy terms; and
- Is deleted when you uninstall the application, unless previously included in a device backup.
4. Backup and export
Engram provides a Backup feature that exports your data as a plain JSON file. You choose where that file goes — for example, saving it to Files, AirDropping it to another device, or attaching it to an email. Engram does not upload backup files anywhere on your behalf.
5. Third-party services
Engram does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The application does not communicate with third-party servers during normal operation.
Engram's purpose is to help you compose prompts that you copy and paste into third-party AI tools of your choosing (for example, ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini). The act of pasting those prompts is performed by you outside of Engram and is governed by the privacy policies of those services. Engram itself does not send anything to those services.
6. Children's privacy
Engram does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The application is rated for general audiences.
7. Security
Your data is protected by the security features of iOS and your device's passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. Because no data leaves your device in the normal course of using Engram, there is no server-side database that can be breached.
8. Your rights
Because we do not hold any of your data, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or delete on your behalf. You may delete your data at any time by deleting items within the app, or by uninstalling the application.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted at cdora.cloud/engram/privacy with a revised effective date. Material changes will also be called out in the application's release notes.
